Click "sign up" for any roles that interest you. Some of these roles on StuyPA Committees only require limited one-off commitment, others need a little more of your time. Many volunteer activities can be done remotely at your convenience. Email questions to volunteer@stuy-pa.org.

General Opportunities
We'll contact you when the Parents' Association needs volunteers for events and programs. Use the "Comment" field to share special skills or experiences that you're willing to use to support the school and the StuyPA. For example, are you an accountant, writer or editor, designer, fundraiser, or something else that might be useful?


Research Mentorship
Mentor students performing independent research. Use the Comment field to indicate your area(s) of expertise.


Join a StuyPA Committee

StuyPA Committees are vital to our ability to support the Stuy community. We're always looking to add members! You can work with the Committee Chairs to figure out your role and commitment level.


Appropriations
Assess funding requests from school departments, teams, and clubs; make funding recommendations.


Career Exploration
Help expose students to the wide range of career opportunities by running the annual Career Fair with the Student Union and helping our Internship Coordinator.


College
Help design and run college admissions support programs for families and students.


Communications
Share information and updates with Stuyvesant parents and guardians through the StuyPA newsletter, website, and social media. Use the Comment field to highlight any special skills (photography, web design, editing, etc.).


Diverse Learners
Support and advocate for Stuyvesant’s diverse learners. Members include parents of twice exceptional (“2e”) students and students receiving IEP services or 504 accommodations, as well as parents of students not receiving formal support.


Faculty Reception
Help set up, serve, and clean up for special lunches for faculty and staff to show our appreciation, and for college representatives during our College Fair.


Financial Operations
Help keep the StuyPA fiscally sound, process invoices for payment, and develop and implement financial policies and procedures.


Fundraising
Run the Annual Appeal, create fundraising content and materials, manage the CRM, and solicit sponsorships.


Grant Writing
Help research, write, and submit grants that raise money for new labs and equipment.


Hospitality
Keep your fellow parents and guardians feeling welcome and well-fed at our PA events.


Independent Research
Provide expanded research and mentoring opportunities to Stuyvesant students. Help organize the Science Showcase to honor students who have entered research competitions.


Nominations
Support the Fall and Spring StuyPA executive board elections.


Program
Plan and implement programming for StuyPA General Meetings and other events.


Senior Events
Work with school admin to create a celebratory and memorable experience for graduating families.


Spirit Wear
Design, procure, and sell school-branded apparel and merchandise.


Spring Gala
Help plan, promote, and execute the biggest StuyPA fundraising event of the year!


Technology
Helping identify, investigate, assess, advocate for, and implement better technology solutions for the PA and the School.


Volunteer Coordination
Help recruit and coordinate volunteers for school and StuyPA events.


Join a Membership Outreach Group

Help create community among our diverse StuyPA membership.
