Notice of Election & Call for Nominations
The Spring Election for the 2026/27 academic year will be held during the online PA General Meeting on Tuesday, May 12 at 7 pm. All parents of current Stuyvesant students are encouraged to vote and to consider running for office.
Positions:
The PA Officer Positions to be elected are as follows:

School Leadership Team (SLT):

Senior Parent Delegate (1 + Alternate)

Please read the position descriptions for more information. The term for all positions is one academic year, commencing July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
Note: All Members-at-Large and the Freshman SLT delegates will be elected in September 2027.
To run for office:
To run, please complete the nomination form by 11:59 pm May 5th and the candidate statement form by 11:59 pm May 7th.
If you are contemplating running for office, the nominations committee strongly encourages you to read the full candidate eligibility and election rules in the Stuyvesant High School Parents Association By-laws.
Importantly, all PA members should note the prohibitions on campaigning either on your own behalf or on behalf of a candidate:
According to Chancellor's Regulations A660 and the PA By-laws, candidates may NOT campaign, solicit votes or distribute materials in support of their candidacy at the school or using PA/school websites, bulletin boards, newsletters, chat rooms, group texts, newsletters, social media, and parent email lists. Candidates who violate this provision, directly or indirectly, will be subject to disqualification by a vote of all the members of the Nominating Committee (as announced in IV.9.3.b) and will be deemed ineligible for office for that election.
