Holiday cheer is in the air at Stuyvesant, and we hope you are finding time to enjoy festivities, magical moments and simple pleasures between the hustle and bustle.
Excitement is also in the air due to the success of our yet another productive annual appeal match. We are excited to announce that we have made our match for the Giving Tuesday Campaign. On Giving Tuesday alone (December 2), our community donated $21,951, enough to make the 1-1 $20K match. When we realized the $20K had been matched, we reached out for help, and another family quickly stepped in with another $5K to increase the 1-1 match to $25K. With all of your help, the extended Giving Tuesday Campaign brought in a total of $40,862.10, and with the $20K match and the additional $5K match from our generous families, our total was $65,862.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the families who donated on Giving Tuesday!! We are that much closer to reaching our annual appeal goal! The success of Giving Tuesday is another testament to the strength of the Stuy community. Thank you to everyone who has joined us in celebrating Giving Tuesday.
As we head into December, we know our work is not yet done, not until we reach our goal.
From now through 12/31, your donation is 2x match, tripling your impact. The first $20K raised will be 2x match with $40,000 to give $60,000 to support our students.
