Notice of Election & Call for Nominations
Fall Elections for the 2026/27 academic year will be held during the PA General Meeting on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 7:00pm. This will be a virtual meeting.
In order to vote, parents / guardians must register individually and retain the EventBrite Order #, so that voting can be verified yet anonymous. (Registration link coming soon)
Positions to be filled:
Fall elections are held to name the Freshman Parent Representative & Alternate to the School Leadership Team (SLT), and to add Members-at-Large for all classes to the PA Executive Board. For the fall 2027 election, there is also an opening for a Sophomore Alternate to the SLT.

To run for office:

Fill out the nomination form online by 11:59pm October 6, 2026 to get on the ballot.

Submit a candidate statement online by October 8, 2026.

Join the PA Fall Elections Zoom with your assigned candidate number, prepared to give a short statement of no more than 60 seconds, for the October 13, 2026 meeting. If you cannot attend the election meeting, you may have someone speak on your behalf.
Candidate eligibility and rules:
All parents and guardians of current Stuyvesant High School students are eligible to run for office, except those also employed by the DOE.
To ensure all candidates are given an equal opportunity, all election and candidate materials will be distributed/posted by the PA, without endorsement, after the close of nominations and at least 24-hours before the election.
No materials in support of a candidate or a slate of candidates may be distributed/posted on school premises/websites, by any candidate or supporter. This includes chat rooms, group texts, parent email lists, newsletters, and social media targeted at the Stuyvesant and/or PA community. Candidates who violate this provision, directly or indirectly, will be subject to disqualification and may be deemed ineligible for office for that election year. (Chancellor's Regulations A660 E.6.b and the Stuyvesant PA By-Laws IV.11.4)
